EESZT, the Electronic Health Services Space, is a government initiative to centralize healthcare data management and digitize healthcare services in Hungary. The significance of the EESZT portal and its related systems became pronounced during the COVID-19 pandemic, playing a crucial role in supporting pandemic management processes. EESZT aims to effectively manage health data and improve communication between patients and healthcare providers.
The Project
EESZT faced significant challenges due to the global COVID-19 pandemic., introducing new, previously nonexistent needs, such as developing a vaccination appointment scheduler and an administrative interface for vaccinations. Adapting swiftly and flexibly to the pandemic and meeting continuously changing requirements posed significant challenges.
Furthermore, it became crucial to develop a data reporting system for hospitals, ensuring real-time information on their resources, and an equipment ordering system to facilitate the procurement of protective gear.
The Solution
With the involvement of the Webtown team, EESZT successfully developed and implemented the vaccination appointment scheduler and the administrative interface for vaccinations. These systems dynamically adjust to changes in the pandemic and new user needs.
Thanks to the developments, these systems continually evolve, ensuring efficient and user-friendly access. Furthermore, the creation of the hospital data reporting system and the equipment ordering platform significantly contributed to supporting the work of the Operational Task Force and efficiently managing the needs of healthcare institutions during the pandemic. These steps were pivotal in optimizing healthcare crisis management processes.
