ÉTO: simpler, more transparent online systems for Szerencsejáték Zrt.

Szerencsejáték Zrt. case study: a B2B sales support portal (ÉTO) built on PHP, Symfony, and eZ Platform, serving 15,000 users.
In 2013, the need became clear at Szerencsejáték Zrt.: sales processes and B2B communication had to move online, onto a platform that could become an integral part of daily operations. This led to the concept of the Sales Support Site, ÉTO.
One of the biggest challenges in the design phase was the diversity of the user base. Nearly 15,000 users within Szerencsejáték Zrt. and its partner network had varying levels of digital proficiency. The system had to work in a way that this difference wouldn't become an obstacle: no one should struggle to use the ÉTO, regardless of how comfortable they were with online platforms.
For the implementation, we worked with PHP as the foundation, building on the Symfony framework and eZ Platform, with MySQL for database management. This technology combination provided the stability and flexibility needed to serve a user base of this size and to support B2B processes over the long term.
The collaboration between Webtown and Szerencsejáték Zrt. has continued since the project's delivery - the ÉTO still actively supports the company's B2B sales processes today.
No one should struggle to use the ÉTO - this was the guiding principle behind the design, built for nearly 15,000 users with varying levels of digital proficiency.
