Meier Tobler: a complex B2B platform on Ibexa DXP for a Swiss HVAC company

Webtown and Switzerland's Origammi built a complex, Ibexa DXP-based B2B platform for Meier Tobler that integrates PIM systems and document repositories into a unified user experience.
Meier Tobler (formerly Tobler Haustechnik) is a Swiss company operating in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technologies. The company's goal is to support its customers with innovative solutions for optimizing the technical systems of buildings.
In 2017, working together with the Swiss team at Origammi, we built a highly complex B2B platform for Meier Tobler on the Ibexa DXP platform. The goal was to modernize the platform and keep pace with Meier Tobler's continuously evolving needs in the digital environment.
Meier Tobler envisioned a multifunctional B2B platform capable of handling complex content and structures, and integrating with a range of external systems - such as document repositories and product information management (PIM) systems. The aim was to create a platform that improves the user experience, makes accessing information seamless, and increases the efficiency of product data management.
The collaboration between the Webtown and Origammi teams focused on three main areas:
- Visualizing a complex content structure. The key to the project was transforming complex content and page structures into an intuitive, user-friendly interface that supports efficient navigation and fast information retrieval.
- Seamless integration with document repositories. Integration with document repositories made it easier for users to access relevant documents.
- Integration of external systems and reconfiguration of communication channels. Introducing the product information management system and communication middleware streamlined data flow and supported the company's more complex business processes.
The resulting B2B platform not only embodies Meier Tobler's innovation ambitions, but also delivers a concrete, day-to-day benefit for the company: customers find the product information and documents they need faster, while internal teams manage complex content structures and data from external systems through a single, unified interface.
The goal wasn't just a better user experience, but a genuine improvement in product data management efficiency - from document repositories to PIM integration.
