MSCI: a 10+ year Liferay partnership from consulting to the msci.com upgrade
Webtown has worked with MSCI since 2013, from Elasticsearch development to a full Liferay upgrade of msci.com that preserved every existing integration.
Our collaboration with MSCI began in 2013, initially in the form of consulting, which we carried out as joint teamwork split between the United States and Hungary. Following the success of that first project, work continued in 2017 with an exciting Elasticsearch development.
After this second successful collaboration, MSCI invited Webtown's team to work on the msci.com upgrade project. This task presented a number of challenges: the website held a large volume of content built on an old structure, which needed a version upgrade alongside the introduction of a new design.
Throughout the migration, we paid close attention to preserving all previously built integrations, ensuring they continued to function seamlessly in the new version. We also had to prepare the system for continuous content growth, since new content is added to msci.com on a daily basis, meaning the system needed to be built for regular updates and expansion.
