KSGAAL: a bilingual, RTL-supported Liferay website for a Saudi language academy

Webtown and Crafton built a bilingual (Arabic-English), RTL-supported Liferay website for KSGAAL, which the Academy's staff now manage independently.
KSGAAL (King Salman Academy for Arabic Language) is an organization dedicated to teaching and promoting the Arabic language and advancing related academic research. Using the latest technological tools, including artificial intelligence, the Academy runs scholarships, competitions, and hackathons, primarily engaging younger generations, with the goal of increasing global awareness and appreciation of Arabic culture and language.
The solution
As a result of joint work between Webtown and Crafton, a solution was built on the Liferay platform. The system's biggest technical challenge was bilingual content management in Arabic and English: Liferay natively handles Arabic-language text and logos, and provides mirrored (RTL) display in line with the writing direction of Arabic. The design focused on a clean, easily navigable interface and full responsiveness, ensuring a consistently good user experience across every device.
Results
Following the project's completion, KSGAAL's website received a new visual identity, and the Academy's staff now manage content updates and expansion independently, without outside assistance. This development marks an important milestone in the Academy's digital strategy and lays the groundwork for further joint projects between Webtown and KSGAAL.
Liferay natively handles Arabic-language text, logos, and mirrored right-to-left display - this was the biggest technical challenge of the KSGAAL project.
