The RSPCA's education program previously relied on PDF-based learning materials distributed by email. Content quickly became outdated, learning outcomes couldn't be measured, and the experience wasn't engaging enough for students.
Webtown developed a Liferay-based digital learning platform supporting a complete online–offline–online learning journey. Teachers download printable learning materials, use them during outdoor activities, and upload completed results back into the platform, where students automatically receive certificates. The project had to be delivered before the beginning of the new school year under a strict deadline.
Results: engagement increased from 40% to 78% (+38 percentage points), while library resources and practical learning content achieved engagement rates approaching 90%
