EESZT: rapidly developed Liferay systems during the COVID-19 pandemic

Webtown rapidly developed the EESZT portal during the COVID-19 pandemic - with a vaccination booking system, administration interface, hospital data reporting, and equipment ordering system.
The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic suddenly brought unprecedented attention to the EESZT (Electronic Health Service Space) portal and its related systems. Functional requirements emerged almost overnight that had no prior precedent - development had to adapt to this extraordinary situation and its continuously evolving demands.
This led to the creation of the vaccination appointment booking system, which allowed citizens to register for COVID-19 vaccinations, as well as the vaccination administration interface, which supported healthcare institutions in managing the vaccination process. Both systems operated as complex services that continuously adapted to the prevailing state of the pandemic and emerging new requirements.
Another key development on the EESZT portal was the data reporting system, which enabled hospitals to report daily information on their various resources - such as bed capacity, ventilator availability, and other critical data. This system directly supported the decision-making work of the Operational Group in managing the pandemic.
Also driven by pandemic-related needs, the equipment ordering system was created, providing healthcare institutions with an interface for managing the procurement of protective equipment.
Thanks to the data reporting system, hospitals reported their resources daily, directly supporting the decision-making work of the Operational Group.
