Meier Tobler

Meier Tobler, formerly known as Tobler Haustechnik, is a Swiss company active in the field of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technologies. The company's goal is to support its clients in optimizing the technical systems of buildings with innovative solutions.

In 2017, in collaboration with the Swiss Origammi team, we created an extremely complex B2B platform for them. Our objective was to modernize the platform and meet the changing needs of Meier Tobler in the digital environment.

The project

Meier Tobler envisioned a multifunctional B2B platform capable of managing complex contents and structures, as well as integrating numerous external systems, such as document libraries and Product Information Management (PIM) systems. The project aimed to create a platform that not only enhances user experience and ensures seamless access to information but also increases the efficiency of product data management.

The solution:

The solution, born from the collaboration between the Webtown and Origammi teams, focused on four main elements:

• Ibexa DXP:  Based on an in-depth analysis of the requirements and the client's vision, it was clear that Ibexa DXP (formerly eZ Platform) was the best platform to serve the use case, as its built-in features and flexibility allow development teams to create all custom elements on a solid foundation.
• Visualization of Complex Content Structure: The key to the project was transforming complex contents and page structures into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, facilitating efficient navigation and quick information retrieval.
• Seamless Integration with Document Libraries: Integrating document libraries simplified access to relevant documents for users, thereby improving the user experience.
• Integration of External Systems and Strategic Reconfiguration of Communication Channels: The introduction of a Product Information Management system and communication middleware streamlined data flow and supported complex business processes.

As a result of the collaboration, the robust B2B platform created not only embodies Meier Tobler's IT innovation ambitions but also provided strategic advantages for the company, paving the way for future success.
